Histories are Lesson For Next Generation

History never lies, which lie just a historian. This is one sentence that had escaped from my oral a professor at UNM FIP while bringing his courses and when we were little mention of the kingdoms on the peninsula of land south sulewesi.
Competition between kingdoms in the past when viewed from historical sources, I hope his story is true, it is interesting to see. Especially when we talk about the rivalry between the two ethnic ethnic ethnic Bugis and Makassar. Makassar in this case represented by Gowa as the main actor while Bugis represented by Bone.Intense competition both kingdoms in the land to expand its influence and its power is very interesting. Moreover when reading about the war that resulted in Makassar Bone accused as traitors for helping to undermine the all-powerful Dutch fort Opu Somba of Gowa's empire.
There are still many interesting stories involving the two ethnic groups in the past to be discussed. But history is just a story of the past that should be used as material for our reflection on the present, so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated.
Currently my status as a student at the State University of Makassar, precisely at the Faculty of Education Department of Educational Psychology and Guidance. In the Faculty of Education have a student body that is under the auspices of the Faculty of moving BEM as campus activist propaganda. Currently I'm active in this group. The name of the group is a Study Club Raodatunni'mah or commonly abbreviated scrn.
I am very excited to be in this group, since we come from diverse regions in South Sulawesi. Again I am very proud because the people who are dominant in this group, which hopefully blessed by God because the struggle to uphold his religion, is the Makassar and Bugis people are again dominated by Gowa and Bone.
I myself happen to come from the district of Gowa. Of the human family environment Makassar. Me and my friends, in this case a friend of entis Bugis, hand in hand to spread propaganda on campus for an excessive stem the flow of globalization so easily infiltrated streams seem strange that intends to destroy Islam.
Although in the history books of Gowa and Bone always identified with the competition, which often ended in bloodshed, but now we go hand in hand to fight for Islam. Supposedly this is what we must do. Are not we are fellow Muslims? Indonesia fellow brothers? And it is equally grounded in the earth sulawesi? if history is still bearing the dark story of the past between Makassar and Bugis, in this case between Gowa and Bone.
